Imbolc: Tending the Flame

Imbolc arrives quietly.

There’s no sudden bloom, no dramatic shift — just the knowing that something has turned.

This is the season of the first spark. Of light returning slowly. Of beginnings that are still fragile and unseen.

For me, Imbolc is less about doing and more about tending. Lighting a candle. Checking in with what I’m nurturing. Asking what needs warmth, patience, and protection right now.

It reminds me that growth doesn’t begin above the surface. It begins in the dark — in rest, intention, and quiet devotion. What we tend now, gently, becomes what blooms later.

This year, I’m honoring Imbolc by moving slowly. By trusting what’s beginning without rushing it into proof. By choosing care over force.

If you’re in a season of beginning too, may you remember this:

You don’t need to be ready yet. You only need to tend the flame.

Blessed Imbolc
